WINEMAKER'S NOTES
The Beckstoffer family has been growing us some of our best Merlot in their Las Amigas vineyards since the mid-90s. This modern Carneros planting includes a number of excellent clones divided among many small blocks, all on a vertical, shoot-positioned trellis.

The 2005 bottling shows plum, blackberry and oak framed by a briary/earthy component. We love to pair this wine with gamey meat off the grill, especially lamb.
